Taree, well what a weekend ... Sunshine, rain and the Easter Bunny. The new 'Not Bad' race trailer made its debute and was great. Both Matt in Not Bad and Greg in Freedom had new Ford engines.
Friday was open practice and both boys were eager to test there new weapons.
Matt had a few hick-ups and retirered early on Fridays practice session. Also Brett in Sensational had a few problems and pulled the pin on Friday.
Greg in Freedom spent most of the weekend finding a new race tune and by Sunday late in the day was on fire only to get nibbed at the line.
New 6 litre Restricted driver 'Ugly' Dave Gray showed some form and was getting quicker as the weekend went on, Taree being the fourth time at the wheel ... well done Dave!
Dean (Nugget) Barry in She's The Culprit was quick as usual beating everyone to the first boy and recording a best speed of 140.2mph. He also got some pleasing results in the main events.
Allan Newtons 'Truely Wicked' was very quick and Liberty which won 'King of the River'.
All our crew and drivers would like to thank all the people involved at Taree including tractor drivers, marshels, commentators and the public ... see you in 2008 ... can't wait!
Windsor Club day
Racing started at about 1:30pm a fair share of boats turned up mainly 6 ltr carby restricted boats.
Damin Thurger had his 'Real Thing' there with his new engine combo, and went well droving like a man on a mission.
Other boats there were Eagel, Baffled, Hot lemon, Rock n Roll, Delusional, LM racewear and a hand full of out boards.
The day had many good tight races and all boats left in working order.
