Well its that time of year again, boat covers get taken off and old oil gets replaced.
Once again the UHPBC hosted the 2007 Bridge to Bridge boat race and what a great event it was Congratulations to EXLR8 on taken the event out.
Circuit racing started about 2 o'clock and what a good feild of boats turned up, 2 heats of 6 litre restricted set the pace quickly then the big bangers came out Truely Wicked, She the Culprit, and Coldys with LM raceware, Stairway to heaven and Freedom filling the spots.
Matty Stone in Not bad had another upsetting day leading heat 1 only to run into over heating issues and was forced to re-tire and wouldn't re turn again.
The Nugget Dean Barry had his spare club day engine in and took the fight up to Truely wicked. But was forced to stop in heat two, due to breaking a crank shaft, which left Coldys to take the challenge.
Greg my mate Hamilton who raced in the Bridge to Bridge only a couple of hours before stepped behind the wheel of Freedom and keep mick in Stair way to heaven on his toes but just couldnt match his fast race pace.
Ugly Dave gray driver of Hillbilly only completed the warm up due to a bad vibration which forced him out.
Congratulations to Stair way to Heaven on taking the silver shield and a close second in the UHPBC gold sheild, well done MICKY.
